BE THE DIFFERENCE

All Californians deserve to have energy bills that they can afford and a clean environment that they and their families can enjoy. Despite its duty to protect its citizens and continually improve the nation’s energy system and technologies, at times the government fails to do so.

Individuals can make a difference by contacting their representatives to communicate their preference for affordable and clean energy—write letters, attend public hearings, schedule meetings. The representatives that make energy decisions include your local city council members, California state legislators and California’s representatives in the United States House of Representatives and Senate, the Governor, the California Energy Commission, and the President. Residential customers have as much right to speak out on issues important to them as paid lobbyists.
